Midwest summers are far too short, especially for those of us who love gardening. Fortunately, kale grows well into the fall, so we always plant a ton of it. One everyday vegetable dish our families particularly enjoy inspired this sausage. Sautee garlic and shallots in olive oil, add white wine and lemon juice, and a few bunches of chopped kale and swiss chard. Gilbert’s Kale Chicken Sausage is good on the bun, but really comes to life in quick and flavorful soups, stews, pastas, and other cooked dishes throughout the year.

Oh, Boy!  I love these sausages!!!  I tried the kale and chicken sausages this time and loved them. I really like the fact that they come packed for single servings and they do not contain hydrolyzed soy and msg and no nitrates or nitrites. Just good stuff. They even have real chicken and not the mechanically separated chicken...thank you.
